Around 100 armed Maoists opened fire on an Indo-Tibetan Border Police camp in Kondagaon district of Chhattisgarh on Thursday morning, PTI reported. According to officials, Maoists encircled the company base of the 41st battalion of the paramilitary in Ranapal area before the attack.
The firing continued for more than two hours. However, no casualties were reported on the forces’ side.
“The attack was launched around 12.40 am and ended at 3 am. Four rockets were fired inside the camp. Both the sides exchanged about 600 rounds of bullets,” officials told PTI.
