Nine-time French Open winner Rafael Nadal dropped out of the tournament on Friday because of a wrist injury. He had progressed to the third round with a straight sets victory over Facundo Bagnis on Thursday and was due to face Marcel Granollers.
"Yesterday I played after an injection," said the 29-year-old, according to BBC. "Yesterday evening I started to feel more and more pain and today I felt I could not move my wrist."
Nadal is the second high profile men's player to drop out of the French Open after Roger Federer pulled out of the tournament earlier.
