Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah on Friday confirmed that a cabinet reshuffle is likely to happen soon, during a press conference at the party headquarters in Delhi. Shah, however, but did not confirm when the reshuffle is likely to happen. His announcement comes after former Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal was recently made chief minister of Assam. Reports have said the cabinet rejig might take place in early June.
Leaders from Uttar Pradesh might be elevated in the party, as Assembly elections in the state scheduled for 2017, reported NDTV. Shah is also expected to announce a set of new office-bearers for the party, the report said.
