Former Indian all-rounder Sanjay Bangar has been named the head coach for India's upcoming tour of Zimbabwe, which starts from June 11. The 43-year-old Bangar has previously worked with the Indian team as assistant coach till this year's World Twenty20 and has also coached Indian Premier League franchise Kings XI Punjab.
Former Indian first-class cricketer Abhay Sharma was also named the fielding coach. The Board of Control for Cricket in India is currently searching for a full-time coach for the Indian cricket team and have set June 10 as the final deadline for candidates to apply for the post.
