Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump has won the Washington state primary after facing no active opposition, while Hillary Clinton won the Democratic primary. Trump won 76% of the total votes polled, and the win has brought him to 1,229 of the 1,237 delegates he needs to win the nomination, PTI reported. His opponents Ted Cruz and John Kasich won 10% of the vote each. However, Trump is the only Republican candidate left in the race for President of the United States.
Clinton currently has 2,305 of the 2,383 delegates it takes to win the Democratic presidential nomination. Her main opponent Bernie Sanders is still in the running, and has 1,539 delegates supporting him, AP reported. The election will be held in November this year.
