Rising Pune Supergiants' chase stuttered after they lost Ajinkya Rahane and George Bailey in the first seven overs. Wickets fell thick and fast as they soon found themselves tottering at 86/5 in the fourteenth over. Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Thisara Perera (23 off 14 balls) together put on a 58-run partnership and took Pune to a situation where they needed 29 off the last two overs. But it was Dhoni (64 not out off 32 balls) who was the star - with 23 required off the last over, the Pune captain hammered a six off the second delivery, a boundary off the fourth, a six off the fifth and finally another maximum to win it for his team.
