Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal's press conference on Friday was interrupted by power cuts in Delhi on Tuesday, reported ANI. Goyal was launching a booklet titled Ujjwal Bharat Two Years about his ministry's achievements in the last two years.
"My wife tells me that there should be a power cut at every programme so I know I have miles to go before I sleep. Looks like they have taken this quite seriously," the minister said, reacting to the irony. Goyal continued his speech even though there were at least two back-to-back power cuts during the press conference. He explained his ministry's plans to create a power supply system for the capital in lines with the system that Mumbai has in place to ensure uninterrupted power supply for the island, reported NDTV.
