Mumbai Indians stayed alive in the hunt for a playoff spot with a comprehensive 80-run win over the Delhi Daredevils at the VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Mumbai put up a daunting total of 206/4 in their 20 overs and Delhi were bowled out for 126.
Mumbai's innings was built on a turbocharged 86 off 37 balls from Krunal Pandya, who slammed the bowling to all corners of the ground, hitting seven fours and six sixes. Martin Guptill gave him company with a 42-ball 48 as Delhi's Imran Tahir bore the brunt of the carnage, conceding 59 in four overs.
The Daredevils could hardly get going in the chase, as they lost quick wickets and failed to keep up with the required run rate. Quinton de Kock provided some hope, but his dismissal on 40 extinguished any hopes as Mumbai rode to a comfortable victory, moving up to third place in the table.
