A suspected operative of the Jaish-e-Mohammed terror group was arrested in Baramulla town in north Jammu and Kashmir. Besides an AK-47 rifle, four grenades and a wireless set, an Aadhaar card was recovered from the alleged terrorist, police said on Saturday. However, the authenticity of the Aadhaar card has yet to be ascertained.

Khan was purpotedly trying to set up a JeM module in Baramulla and was caught during a joint operation with the Indian Army on Friday evening. The fidayeen had infiltrated the country in January from Kupwara sector, police said, adding that Khan was trained in Pakistan’s Balakot town.
Khan was working in North Kashmir under the alias Shabir Ahmad Khan, son of Ghulam Rasool Khan. The Aadhaar card was made under the fake name. He also operated under the aliases Saad and Shahid, according to the police, Hindustan Times reported.
