At least seven workers were killed after a landslip at a construction site for a multi-storey building in Andhra Pradesh's Guntur late on Saturday night, according to reports. One worker has been rescued by the police, reported NDTV. Eight workers were reported to be at the construction site when the landslip occurred, the police told PTI.
The incident occurred when a 30-feet deep cellar was being dug for the proposed building, the police said. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu asked the state's Home Minister N China Rajappa to go to Guntur and oversee the rescue efforts, reports said.
