The Pakistan foreign office on Thursday said it was ready for talks when India is ready, PTI reported. Foreign Office spokesman Nafees Zakaria told the media that the neighbouring countries should “live in peace and harmony”. This comes after a hiccup in bilateral talks between the countries following the terror attack in Pathankot, and its investigation.
Zakaria also said that India’s development of a nuclear submarine fleet would “impact the delicate strategic balance of the region”. According to a report, he said India should have informed Pakistan about its nuclear missile test earlier. He did not share any information on Pakistan’s joint investigation team’s visit to India to look into the Pathankot attacks, but said “shareable information” would be provided once the inquiry was over.
