At least 12 people were injured in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district when two student groups clashed at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University on Monday, reported The Indian Express. The students threw stones at each other and set four vehicles on fire. The police are yet to confirm what led to the violence.
The situation was brought under control by the police. DIG Poonch Rajouri range, Johny Williams, said there has been some tension between the students for the past few days, but the university administration had assured the police that they would sort out the matter.
This comes weeks after students clashed following India's loss to West Indies in the World Twenty20 semifinal on March 31.
