Kadhaprasangam artiste and actor VD Rajappan died in a hospital in Kottayam, Kerala, on Thursday. He was 70, and had been ailing for the past 10 years. Rajappan was a star in the Malayalam film industry, where he acted in 100 moveis. He was also particularly well known for his parody songs.
Accoring to The New Indian Express, Rajappan performed several kadhaprasangams (a form of story telling) between the late ‘70s and early ‘90s such as Prye ninte kura, Kumari Eruma, Mak mak and Ennennum Kurangetante. His films include Kakka, Kuyilinethedi, Engane Nee Marakkum and Attakkalasham.
He is survived by his wife Sulochana and sons Rajesh and Rajeev.
