Actor Salman Khan on Thursday appeared before a Jodhpur court and said he was falsely implicated in a 1998 Arms Act case. The case was registered after the licences of the revolver and rifle the actor allegedly used to hunt blackbucks and Indian gazelles expired. The actor said forest department officials had framed him, while pleading not guilty of the charges, reported PTI. A separate case related to poaching the animals is ongoing – the blackbuck and Indian gazelle, or chinkara, are protected species. Khan and his co-stars have been accused of poaching three chinkaras and a blackbuck while shooting for a film near Jodhpur in 1998.
