A 20-year-old woman jumped from the second floor of a building to escape rape in Liluah in West Bengal's Howrah district on Sunday. The girl survived the jump and has been admitted to hospital, reported ANI. The police have arrested three men, one of whom is her boyfriend.
The men, who live in the second-floor apartment, had called her over to their place on Sunday. There, they spiked her drink and tried to rape her, the report said. She then jumped off the second-floor flat in a bid to escape, before other residents of the building came to her rescue.
