The Mumbai Fire Brigade on Wednesday submitted its report on the fire that broke out at the Make in India event in Mumbai on February 14. The report said that though the fire started because of a short circuit, the situation got worse due to negligence on the part of the organisers, reported The Times of India. The report also said the fire was aggravated by turpentine and thinner bottles left unattended under the stage, which the organisers had used for last-minute paint work.
A massive fire broke out at the Maharashtra Night event, which was part of the Make in India week held at Mumbai's Girgaum Chowpatty. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and actor-turned-politician Hema Malini were attending the event when the incident occurred. No casualties or injuries were reported.
