A website named after Republican hopeful Jeb Bush redirects to the campaign website for frontrunner Donald Trump. The joke is not a new one – the site was put up in December – but has been spreading around the Internet over the last few days. While Bush’s actual campaign website is Jeb2016.com, an unknown person appears to have bought the domain name and made comic use of it.
A Trump campaign spokesperson told The Washington Post that they had nothing to do with it. Bush has not had the most success in his campaign, and has been at the receiving end of several jokes for failing to impress voters.
The Republicans, however, are not the only ones who are being pranked by domain name hoarders. There are several websites with combinations of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton’s name, one of which takes users to a mock news website with spoof articles about her and others in the presidential race.
