The Border Security Force on Sunday gunned down four smugglers – two Indian, two Pakistani – and recovered 10 kg of heroin along the India-Pakistan border near Ferozpur, Punjab. The BSF personnel from the 191 battalion spotted the intruders near the Mehndipur outpost around 4.40 am and opened fire, PTI reported.
In addition to the drugs, the officials have seized two pistols and a motorcycle. One smuggler is believed to have fled back into Pakistan, while the remaining are being identified. Further investigations are on.
