The 15-member Indian team for the upcoming Asia Cup in Dhaka and the World Twenty20 at home was announced after a meeting of the selectors in Delhi on Friday. Ajinkya Rahane is in both the squads, while batsman Manish Pandey missed out. Mahendra Singh Dhoni will captain the team in both the tournaments.
Youngsters Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya, who both impressed in the recent series against Australia, and left-arm bowling all-rounder Pawan Negi also found a place in the squad. The selectors also kept faith in veterans Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh. There was no place for Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
The Asia Cup is scheduled to be held in Bangladesh from February 24 to March 6, followed by the World T20 from March 8 to April 3 in India, reported PTI.
