An 11-year-old boy from Uttar Pradesh's Unnao town wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi narrating his plight because there was no railway crossing at the track separating his locality and his school. Two days after posting the letter, the Class 7 student received a formal response from the senior divisional commercial manager of Northern Railways, reported Hindustan Times.
In the letter addressed to the PM, Nayan Sinha wrote about how the lack of the railway crossing meant he and his fellow students had to take a longer route every morning. This prompted Modi to ask the Railways Ministry to intervene, following which the boy received an official communication that said they cannot construct a crossing or an over-bridge until the state government requests them for one.
