The National Investigative Agency arrested three suspected member of the Islamic State group in New Delhi, after they were deported from the United Arab Emirates for their links with the terror outfit. Adnan Husain, Mohammad Farhan and Sheikh Azhar Al Islam reached the capital late on Thursday night and were immediately taken into the NIA’s custody. They are from Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Jammu and Kashmir.

NDTV reported that the men were believed to be part of the Abu Dhabi module of the terrorist group. They were allegedly involved in a plan to identify, recruit and radicalise Indians in different countries. The Hindu said that the NIA alerted UAE officials about the men, after which they were deported. Between September and October 2015, the UAE deported 12 Indians for having links with the IS.
