Bajaj Auto is set to launch a new range of motorcycles next month, which are all manufactured from the metal used in India's first aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant. The carrier was decommissioned in 1997 and scrapped in 2014, after being in service for 36 years.
The Indian automaker released a teaser video of its new range of bikes made from the “invincible metal of INS Vikrant”. The bikes will be unveiled on February 1, the company said. “We at Bajaj were determined to not allow history to fade away into oblivion. So we took INS Vikrant's metal, melted it, and gave it a new face,” Bajaj says in the video. These motorbikes will be branded "Bajaj V" and also get a special logo.
