A Delhi court has granted bail to Bhawna Arora, an Aam Aadmi Sena member who was arrested for throwing ink at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The incident took place on Sunday during an event celebrating the odd-even rule.
Arora had alleged that she earlier tried to meet Kejriwal and Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Raj to expose a “big CNG scam”, but that she had been escorted out before she could. She said she would produce documents in court to support her claims and to prove that the Delhi government was running a scam.
Aam Aadmi Party leaders claimed that the ink attack was part of a bigger conspiracy, and accused the Delhi Police and Bharatiya Janata Party of scripting the event and trying to kill Kejriwal.
