A group of right-wing extremists allegedly vandalised the Delhi office of the Pakistan International Airlines on Thursday. The activists were reportedly protesting against the January 2 attack on the Indian Air Force base in Pathankot.
While some media reports said the activists belonged to the Hindu Mahasabha, others claimed the Hindu Sena was behind the attack. Hindustan Times reported that at least five to six members of the Hindu Mahasabha raised slogans, barged into the office and vandalised it.
Delhi Deputy Commissioner of Police Jatin Narwal confirmed the incident and said they will take appropriate action. India Today said that one person had been detained by the police. According to another official, preliminary investigations indicate that the accused are associates of the Hindu Mahasabha member who had informed the police last year that beef was being served at Kerala House.
