A group of protesters took to the skies on Friday to put out messages against United States Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump in California. Multiple planes went up above the annual Rose Parade new year’s celebrations in Pasadena, skywriting: "America is great! Trump is disgusting,” “Anybody but Trump”, “Trump loves to hate” and “Trump is delusional”.

It was not clear who was behind the protest, but the images went viral on social media. Trump did not respond, Agence France-Presse reported.

The controversial candidate has made several racist proclamations during his campaign speeches, including calling Mexicans rapists and drug traffickers, and asking for a ban on all Muslims entering the US. Major companies have boycotted Trump amid the international uproar he has created, but he continues to be the frontrunner among Republican candidates.
