Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella said on Monday that the company is interested in working with entrepreneurs to ensure technological connectivity in India’s most rural areas, PTI reported. Addressing entrepreneurs at an event, Nadella highlighted the project Microsoft recently launched in Kenya to deliver low-cost, high-speed Internet to places that lack access to electricity.
According to a senior government official, Microsoft will help establish a start-up ecosystem in Hyderabad. The company also agreed to offer technology to improve the delivery of public services in Andhra Pradesh. Nadella met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at his home earlier in the day.
