External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj said in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday that war with Pakistan is not an option. Addressing the Parliament on the Centre's plans to resume a dialogue with Pakistan, Swaraj also said that talks and terror cannot go together.
On Monday, the Union minister had informed the Lok Sabha that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif had decided to resume National Security Agency-level talks when they met in Paris last month. Swaraj added that India was restarting talks with Pakistan on the basis of trust, reported PTI, and that it marks the beginning of peace between the two countries.
