Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that it is his dream for every Indian citizen to have their own house when the country celebrates its 75th independence day in 2022. Addressing a function in Thrissur in Kerala, Modi said India is a young nation and his government wants the youth to get opportunities to work in the country.
Acknowledging that a large number of people from Kerala live and work abroad, the prime minister said that his government's priority is to ensure the security of Indians living across world. He also announced a scheme related to modernising Kerala's fishing industry, saying that change must be brought to the quality of life of fishermen from the state, reported ANI.
Modi asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party has emerged as the "third force" in Kerala, and will replace the two fronts led by the Congress party and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in next year's assembly elections, reported PTI.
