Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar on Sunday received the Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian award in India. The 93-year-old was presented a medal, a certificate and a shawl by home minister Rajnath Singh, reported PTI. Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were also present at the actor's home when he received the award.
The government of India had honoured him with the Padma Bhushan award in 1991, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and the Padma Vibhushan earlier this year, for his exceptional and distinguished contribution to Indian cinema. Kumar's wife Saira Banu said, “I’m very happy. My happiness knows no bounds. I’m the proudest wife in the world today.”
