India has the third-highest number of tech startups in the world, Google India said in a blog post. Rajan Anandan, vice-president and managing director, sales and operations, Google India, wrote, “India’s small and medium businesses, especially technology startups, are starting to bloom, and investments have led to an explosion in India’s tech sector in recent years.”
To showcase the digital revolution in India, the tech giant has launched a dedicated website, which will carry success stories of entrepreneurs and SMBs, and explain how Google is facilitating their ventures. It will also serve as a platform to highlight the progress made in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India initiative.
The launch of this website comes days before Google chief executive Sundar Pichai is set to visit India. During this trip, he is expected to meet President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
