At least six Central Reserve Police Force officers were injured when unidentified militants attacked their convoy on Monday in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. Reports said that the militants opened fire when the convoy was on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway in the south Kashmir district. The convoy was on its way to Jammu from Srinagar, a police official said.
The injured were moved to an Anantnag hospital, and a hunt was launched to find the attackers. Home minister Rajnath Singh confirmed the incident and said that the six injured jawans were out of danger, reported PTI.
