A rampaging Barcelona romped to a 4-0 win over bitter rivals Real Madrid in their La Liga encounter at the Santiago Bernebau. The Catalans were in imperious touch and hardly seemed to miss the services of talisman Lionel Messi, who started on the bench.
Luis Suarez scored early from after a brilliant move from Sergi Roberto in the 11th minute. Then, in another inspired burst of play, Andres Iniesta played Neymar in, who didn't make a mistake to double the lead in the 39th minute.
After half-time, Iniesta deservedly got onto the scoresheet after a wicked back-heel from Neymar. Messi joined in the fun in the 55th minute with some of his surging runs and finally put the game out of reach after a typically brilliant pass to Suarez, who made it a miserable night for Madrid fans.
