The Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday submitted a 1000-page chargesheet for the Sheena Bora murder case to a Mumbai court. The chargesheet names Bora's mother Indrani Mukerjea and two others as the accused. The other two accused are Mukerjea's former husband Sanjeev Khanna and driver Shyam Rai. The three are in judicial custody till November 20.
The chargesheet was filed almost three months after the police claimed to have found the remains of Bora's body in a forest in Maharashtra's Raigad district. A forensic report by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences confirmed that it was Bora's body. According to the police, the 24-year-old was taken to the forest on the outskirts of Mumbai in April 2012, where she was strangled and dumped.
