2. In the second match of the season, the UAE jinx was finally ended as Mumbai registered their first win in an IPL match played in the country. 6. Opting to bat first in Abu Dhabi, Mumbai Indians posted 193/4 thanks to Suryakumar Yadav’s unbeaten 79 off 47. 9. Mumbai Indians lost their first match after five straight wins after the first-ever double Super Over in IPL history. Jasprit Bumrah (3/24) snared three crucial wickets as Kings XI Punjab levelled the scores at 176/6 in the stipulated 20 overs. Bumrah then dismissed Nicholas Pooran and Rahul in the first Super Over to leave MI with a six-run target. But Shami defended in a stunning spell to take it to the second Super Over. They got to 195/5 batting first in Abu Dhabi thanks to Hardik Pandya’s explosive innings at the death.
