India’s U-19 World Cup pacer Kamlesh Nagarkoti will be travelling to London to sort out his injury woes, which has seen him miss six months of cricket, Mumbai Mirror reported on Tuesday.

The report stated that the 19-year-old will be consulting experts in England on his back injury and getting their opinion on whether he will need surgery.

The Rajasthan youngster’s back problems cropped up while undergoing treatment for a foot surgery.

“We’ve decided on a plan for Kamlesh, the NCA officials are looking into it. He will go to London soon,” a cricket operations official of the BCCI was quoted as saying.

Nagarkoti’s last match was in February during the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Tamil Nadu. The wiry pacer was among the lynchpins behind’s India’s success in the U-19 World Cup in New Zealand, taking nine wickets in six games at a staggering average of 16.33.

He was then picked up by Indian Premier League franchise Kolkata Knight Riders for a huge sum of Rs 3.2 Crore, but failed to appear in a single game because of injury.
