It’s been a long day, but just one medal to show for the efforts by the Indian contingent. Nonetheless, it was a historic medal for the country, as Kapil Parmar won India’s first Paralympic medal in judo, clinching bronze in the men’s 60kg J1 event.

As many as six medals will be up for grabs for the Indians competing on September 6, the penultimate day of the Paralympics.

Archery, mixed team recurve semi-final: Italy defeat India 6-2. India will now feature in the bronze medal match later today. That was a brilliant last shot from both Pooja and Harvinder but it was a more composed performance from Italy’s Travisani and Mijno.

Judo, men's 60kg J1 semi-final: India's Kapil Parmar is defeated by Seyed Meysam Banitaba Khoram Abadi 10-0 in the semi-final. He will now feature in the bronze medal match at 7:30 pm.

Athletics, women’s 100m T12 semi-final: Simran has made it through to the final!
She finished second in her semi-final with at time of 12.33s, but by virtue of being among the next fastest two sprinters outside the semi-final winners, she will compete in the final, scheduled to take place at 10:47 pm tonight. The Indian capitalised and while Katrin Mueller of Germany did not have a great start but finished first, ahead of Simran in the semi-final with 12.26 seconds.

Archery, mixed team recurve open quarter-final: India’s mixed recurve team comprising of Harvinder Singh and Pooja will face Poland at 6:30 pm.

Judo, women's 48kg J2: India's Kokila will face Ukraine’s Yuliia Ivanytska in the repechage round.

Judo, men's 60kg J1 quarter-final: India's Kapil Parmar defeats Dennis Blanco of Venezuela 10-0 to advance to the semi-final. He will face Seyed Meysam Banitaba Khoram Abadi next.

Judo, women's 48kg J2 quarter-final: India's Kokila lost 0-10 to Kazakhstan's Akmaral Nauatbek.

Archery, mixed team recurve open 1/8 elimination round: India enter the quarterfinals! After leading the game 4-2, Australia came back strongly to force a shoot-off. Thankfully for Harvinder Singh and Pooja, they prevail in the shoot-off to win it 15-5.

Shooting, Mixed 50m Rifle Prone SH1 Qualification: Sidharth Babu and Mona Agarwal both fail to qualify for the final as they finish way outside the top eight. Babu finished 22nd with a score of 615.8 while Agarwal finished 30th with a score of 610.5.

Archery, mixed team recurve open 1/8 elimination round: Some heavy rain in the match between Thailand and Indonesia, the match before India and Australia.

Archery, mixed team recurve open 1/8 elimination round: After a legendary, gold-winning performance in the individual recurve event on Wednesday, Harvinder Singh is back in action in the mixed team event with Pooja against Australian duo Amanda Jennings and Taymon Kenton-Smith. Shooting, Mixed 50m Rifle Prone SH1 Qualification: The first event of the day will involve Sidhartha Babu and Mona Agarwal in the qualification round. Agarwal has already won the bronze in the Women's 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1. Babu, meanwhile, will be hoping to secure his qualification and strengthen India’s bid for a medal.

India continued to climb in the overall leaderboard, with the current tally of 24 putting the contingent 13th on the overall medal table at the start of September 5.

India continued to extends it’s record haul with four more medals on Wednesday. And there are plenty more podium places up for grabs today in Paris.

Harvinder Singh, became the first Indian archer – across the Olympics and Paralympics – to win a gold medal. And just a day after he stood on the top step in Paris, he’s back at the archery range as he pairs up with Pooja in the mixed recurve team event.

There will be action in judo, powerlifting, athletics and also in shooting, where Paris bronze medallist Mona Agarwal will compete in the qualification event of the R6 mixed 50m rifle prone SH1.
