Renuka should have cut it out for a dot, but she lets it through her legs and then Deepti’s throw from the deep could have resulted in a runout instead the throw is not gathered by the bowler (steep bounce) and not backed up well by Shafali.

Bangladesh 7/0 after 2 overs: Good over by Renuka spoiled a bit by the short ball at the end of it, Murshida just about clears the fielder at midwicket.

India 153/4 after 19 overs: Big over. A four for Jemimah followed by a lovely six down the ground by Deepti Sharma. She just held the shot back a second to adjust for the pace of the ball, and sent it over long on. Rumana will not bowl out, 3/27 from 3 overs.

HAT-TRICK MISSED BY RUMANA AHMED: Oh dear, of all the ways to miss out on a hat-trick, a dropped catch of your own bowling must sting! It was in her hands, quite literally. Life for Jemimah.

India 120/2 after 16 overs: No momentum to the Indian innings at the moment. The spinners have slowed it down, in more ways than one. Richa and Jemimah are trying to power hit, but no pace to work with.

India 115/2 after 15 overs: No Navgire still, could have been a nice chance for her. Richa Ghosh comes in.

Half century for Shafali Verma. She has had a tough time recently in international cricket, but that’s a second good score in this tournament for her. Comes up in 40 balls. Has slowed down a bit now, must look to accelerate here.

The dot balls were finally starting to build pressure and it results in a run out. A nice gesture from Mandhana as she walks back though, telling Verma it is alright and carry on. India 96/1

India 91/0 after 10 overs: Another quiet over followed by a big one. That’s a nice tactical approach to this innings by India. They haven’t let Bangladesh build any pressure. Ritu Moni’s medium pace sets Shafali up nicely for a four and a six.

India 73/0 after 8 overs: A lovely pull past square leg, all along the ground, for four by Mandhana. She moves into 40s.
