  • Cricket: India beat Barbados by 100 runs to reach semis. Asked to bat first in the Group A game, India made 162/4. They then restricted Barbados to 62/8 with Renuka Singh Thakur picking a brilliant 4/10.

2.51 am: A disappointing end but that was another impressive day for India with multiple medals being won and assured. That’s it from us for now, do join us tomorrow for the live coverage.

Boxing, men’s 80kg QF: WHAT A FIGHT! One for the ages. Ashish gives it his all but Bowen takes it with a split decision 4:1. End of a brilliant campaign for the Indian who didn’t go down without a fight.

Boxing, men’s 80kg QF: That this is an intense bout is an understatement! Three judges level in R2. And it will boil down to the final round. Ashish has to find a way.

Boxing, men’s 80kg QF: The cleaner shots came from Bowen and Ashish has not quite gotten the attacking shots first but it’s 3:2 in his favour in R1. To make matters worse for Ashish, there’s insane crowd support for the home lad.

Boxing: In today’s last bout including an Indian, Ashish Kumar will face England’s Aaron Bowen, a British National Champion several times. The 80kg QF promises to be an interesting (and probably, tricky) one.

Athletics, women’s shot put: A little while earlier, Manpreet Kaur finished 12th with three throws of 15.57, 15.56, 15.59. It wasn’t enough to make the cut for top 8 and have all six attempts.

Vinayakk: Tejaswin Shankar, what a story. What a journey. Proof that often truth is stranger than fiction. No one knew whether he was going to take part in the Games until a few days before. Court cases, CGF denials, late changes... he made it. And now he is the first ever Indian high jumper to win a CWG medal.

Cricket: India are into the semifinals. Was never in doubt after the opening spell by Renuka Thakur. What a CWG she has had. Here are the scores:

Cricket, India vs Barbados Group A: India win by 100 runs! A comprehensive win for Harmanpreet Kaur and they are through to the semifinal. Asked to bat first in the Group A match, India made 162/4 thanks to Shafali Verma (43 off 26), Jemimah Rodrigues (56* off 46) and Deepti Sharma (34* off 28). They then restricted Barbados to 62/8 in 20 overs, with new-ball bowler Renuka Singh Thakur picking a brilliant 4/10.

Athletics, men’s high jump final: It’s a bronze medal forTejaswin Shankar! What a story. He made it to the CWG squad late, but wins India’s first track & field medal at the 2022 Birmingham Games.

Athletics, men’s high jump final: BRONZE! Tejaswin Shankar’s medal is confirmed thanks to clean slate earlier in the competition. He skips the third 2.25m attempt and goes for a bigger height at 2.28 but misses that (one attempt only). But that confirms a superb medal for the India.

Athletics, men’s high jump final: Clean card till now. But now two misses at 2.25m. Only two men have cleared that height so far. Thomas and Clarke-Khan also in last-chance territory.

Boxing, women’s 70kg QF: A come from behind win from Eccles and it’s a HUGE upset for Lovlina! Couldn’t regain the momentum after R2, kept getting warned for holding and Eccles pounced at that with all 5 judges in her favour.

Athletics, men’s high jump final: Tejaswin Shankar is now in last-chance territory all of a sudden. Kerr & Starc have done it at 2.25m and the Indian has missed two attempts.

Boxing, women’s 70kg QF: A point disadvantage for Lovlina for holding held her back for the rest of the round. But it’s 3:2 judges in favour of the Indian in R2. Needs to regain her momentum.

Athletics, men’s high jump final: Into the top 5 is Tejaswin Shankar. In joint top place at the moment with Hamish Kerr. Three more have cleared 2.22, including defending champ Starc.

Boxing, women’s 70kg QF: The reach advantage for Lovlina means that she has been able to land far more shots than Eccles. R1 with judges 4:1 in favour of the Indian.

Cricket, India vs Barbados Group A: India in complete control here. Sneh Rana removed Kyshona Knight and the task is getting close to impossible for Barbados. BAR: 39/5 (11) IND: 162/4 (20)

Samreen Razzaqui: After an impressive opening bout, Lovlina Borgohain would be hoping to keep adding to India’s tally of medals by the boxers. In action now in the women’s 70kg QF vs Rosie Eccles of Wales.

Athletics, men’s high jump final: 2.22m done first time too. Tejaswin Shankar continues to jump with good momentum. Another first-time clearance for the Indian! Only New Zealand’s Hamish Kerr apart from the Indian has a clean card so far. Starc gaining some form now, best jump of the night so far for him. 2.22m cleared in two attempts.

Dilip Unnikrishnan: Gurdeep Singh wins bronze with a total of 390kg! Muhammad Butt takes gold with a Games record total of 405kg with David Liti taking silver with a total of 394kg. India finish on top of the medal standings with three gold, three silver and four bronze medals, one more than what they won in Gold Coast four years ago.

Boxing, women’s 70kg QF: After an impressive opening bout, Lovlina Borgohain would be hoping to keep adding to India’s tally of medals by the boxers. In action shortly in the women’s 70kg QF vs Rosie Eccles of Wales.

Athletics, men’s high jump final: Tejaswin Shankar among four athletes to have a clean card with 2.19m. Good stuff from the Indian so far. Seven athletes have cleared the height overall. Defending champion Brandon Starc JUST ABOUT stays alive, clearing 2.19 with his third attempt. The bar is at 2.22m now.

Weightlifting, men’s 109+kg final: BRONZE! Gurdeep Singh wins India’s 10th medal at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games!

Four overs, 10 runs, four wickets. What a spell from Renuka Singh Thakur!

Weightlifting, men’s 109+kg final: Gurdeep Singh smashes a 223kg final lift to finish with 390kg. Will that be enough to snatch silver from David Liti? Not today. Liti lifts 224kg to move to 394kg.

Cricket, India vs Barbados Group A: Renuka Singh Thakur! Wow! She has run through West Indies’ top order with two more wickets in one over. Kycia Knight and Aaliyah Alleyne are back in the hut and WI have been reduced to 19/4 in 5 overs, chasing 163.

Weightlifting, men’s 109+kg final: Gurdeep Singh has been assured of a medal! With Suamili Nanai failing with his final lift, Singh has confirmed bronze for himself. Will come out for a final 220g lift.

Weightlifting, men’s 109+kg final: Gurdeep raises his weights by 8kg to 215kg. Takes his time to jerk the weight up and lifts it. However, the jury flags the lift as Gurdeep’s right elbow had bent.

Weightlifting, men’s 109+kg final: Gurdeep Singh had listed 210kg for his first c&j lift but has brought it down to 207kg. Effortlessly completes the lift and takes a big step towards ensuring a podium finish.

Cricket, India vs Barbados Group A: India are off to a dream start with the ball thanks to Renuka Singh! She has delivered again with the new ball and dismissed the dangerous pair of Deandra Dottin and skipper Hayley Matthews. Dottin was clean bowled and Matthews is caught at mid-on. West Indies are 10/2 after 2.2 overs, chasing 163.

Athletics, men’s high jump final: Tejaswin Shankar clears 2.15m also on the first attempt. He is pleased, so he should be. Brandon Starc also clears the height but needed a 2nd attempt. Could come into play later on.

Cricket, India vs Barbados Group A: India finish with 162/4. Jemimah Rodrigues remains unbeaten on 56 off 46 and hits the last ball of the innings for four. Deepti Sharma remains not out on 34 off 28. The duo added an unbeaten partnership of 70 runs for the fifth wicket. India lost Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur early but Shafali Verma (43 off 26), Jemimah and Deepti have ensured they have a competitive total to defend in this must-win game.

Athletics, men’s high jump final: Tejaswin Shankar has cleared 2.10m in his first attempt. Among a group of athletes who have done so including a certain Brandon Starc.

Weightlifting, men’s 109+kg final: Pakistan’s Muhammad Butt is in the lead with a successful lift of 175kg. David Liti is 2nd with a best of 170kg while Gurdeep Singh is tied 3rd with Gordon Shaw at 167kg.

Weightlifting, men’s 109+kg final: Gurdeep raises the weights to 173kg for his third and final attempt. The first failed lift means he has no room for error. Unsuccessful. Ends snatch third with a best of 167kg.

Athletics, men’s high jump final: Time for the men’s high jump final and India’s Tejaswin Shankar is in action here. He has been through one rollercoaster of a build-up. Can he make it a sweet ending? Updates to follow.

Samreen Razzaqui: After the end of the bout, the first thing Nikhat Zareen did was hug her coaches but then looked into the camera and conveyed a wish to her mother Parveena Sultana whose birthday was yesterday. “Happy birthday Ammi, love you. May God keep you happy,” she said. Before this bout, she wished her mother on instagram and said that she would soon bring her a gift when she’s back. The gift, of course, she is hoping would be a gold. The World Champion is looking good to get the 2022 hat-trick.

Weightlifting, men’s 109+kg final: Dilip Unnikrishnan – Gurdeep Singh fails to lift 167kg with his first lift. Looks at his left arm in disbelief and will have to come back for a second attempt. Gurdeep gets the job done at the second time of asking! Super easy lift making the failed first lift look like an anomaly.

Judo, women’s +78 kg final: Vinayakk– Scotland’s Sarah ADLINGTON is a veteran and the top seed who has won a title before. Tulika MAAN was here for the first time. And she gave it a good go. Countered the Scot’s attack and got a Waza-ari early but Adlington responded with a Ippon soon after to win the CWG gold again. Tulika looked devastated at the end. But it is a memorable silver for the 2nd seed.

Boxing, women’s 50kg QF: Samreen Razzaqui – And Nikhat Zareen assures the medal! Defeats Helen Jones by a 5:0 UD in the QFs. The Welsh upped her game in the end but the Indian had done enough to seal the deal.

Boxing, women’s 50kg QF: Much better from Jones in R2 but it’s not enough to prevent all five judges from voting in favour of Nikhat. Dominant!

Boxing, women’s 50kg QF: Sharp, precise work from Nikhat, as one expects of her. All 5 judges in favour. Lands some great punches, several times. Surprised that Jones has managed to escape the standing count here.

Judo: A medal assured, India’s Tulika Maan (second seed) will take on Scotland’s Sarah Adlington (top seed) in the women +78 kg final.

Boxing, women’s 50kg QF: In action now is World Champion Nikhat Zareen against Helen Jones of Wales. Can she assure India of a third medal in boxing and continue to sparkle in 2022?

Dilip Unnikrishnan: Time for the final weightlifting event at the Birmingham Games and it is the men’s 109+kg final. India’s Gurdeep Singh finished fourth at the 2018 Games and will be aiming to get on the podium this time around. Defending champion David Liti is the overwhelming favourite being the only lifter in today’s field to compete in Tokyo last year. Pakistan’s Nooh Dastgir Butt won silver at last year’s Commonwealth Champions lifting one kilo more than bronze medal winner Gurdeep.

Cricket, India vs Barbados Group A: Another massive setback for India! Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur is out LBW for a first-ball duck. Shakera Selman traps the right-hander in front. The new batter is wicketkeeper Taniya Bhatia. India are 77/3 after 9.3 overs.

Cricket, India vs Barbados Group A: Big setback for India! Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues have a mixup for the former is run-out for 43 off 26. Shafali caught ball-watching there and she has to walk back distraught after playing a fine knock. The new batter is skipper Harmanpreet Kaur. India are 76/2 after 9 overs.

“I don’t know if this is my last one, maybe it is. I’ve done everything I’ve possibly could to be ready” he told Shahid Judge. It’s the gold medal that he really wants but a historic first bronze in singles for the country is not bad for the 35-year-old who “looks like a spring chicken” according to the commentator a couple of days back. Read more by Shahid Judge here.

Cricket, India vs Barbados Group A: India have reached 50/1 at the end of the powerplay. Shafali Verma is going strong on 24 off 15, with Jemimah Rodrigues on 12 off 14. India have kept up the tempo despite losing Smriti Mandhana early.

Squash, singles bronze match, Ghosal 3-0 Willstrop: BRONZE MEDAL! Saurav Ghosal creates history! He becomes the first Indian to win a singles medal in squash in Commonwealth Games history. The 35-year-old defeats England’s James Willstrop 11-6, 11-1, 11-4. What a fantastic performance! A lovely embrace between the two players at the end.

Cricket, India vs Barbados Group A: BIG WICKET! Smriti Mandhana out in 2nd over. With that batting lineup, India losing an early wicket (that too of Mandhana) is possibly a big blow. Jemimah Rodrigues in the middle. IND: 12/1 (2).

Shahid Judge: The commentators, throughout the Commonwealth Games so far, have enjoyed discussing Saurav Ghosal’s superstitious and quirks. The kit bag has to be placed a certain way, as does his towel. He will not change his T-shirt regardless of how much sweat pours onto the floor. And then there was a new one that got spotted (may have been there all along but nobody noticed): Ghosal pokes his belly-button before serving.

Squash, singles bronze match, Ghosal 2-0 Willstrop: Ghosal completely overpowered Willstrop in the second game, winning it 11-1 to put himself just one game away from the bronze medal.

Shahid Judge: “Great start, great start,” says Saurav Ghosal’s coach. The Indian has the heart and legs to chase down everything James Willstrop has sent his way, winning the opening game 11-6.

Squash, singles bronze match, Ghosal 1-0 Willstrop: Saurav wins the first game 11-6! The Indian veteran took a lead early in the game and kept up the pressure. The commentators suggesting Willstrop is struggling a bit physically and the outcome of this first game could be crucial. Great hustle and shot-making so far from Ghosal.

Cricket, India vs Barbados Group A: Meanwhile, on the cricket field, Barbados have won the toss and opted to field first. A virtual quarterfinal for India and Barbados. Winner reaches semifinal. Harmanpreet Kaur & Co are asked to bat first. Pooja Vastrakar will feature in the XI. And Bhatia replaces Bhatia.

Squash, men’s singles bronze match: India’s Saurav Ghosal is up against England’s James Willstrop now. World No 15 Ghosal takes on former World No 1 and Gold Coast 2018 champion Willstrop for the bronze.

Squash – Shahid Judge: Men’s singles bronze medal match - Saurav Ghosal is just one win away from becoming the first Indian to win a Commowealth Games medal in a singles event. But standing in the 35-year-old World No 15’s way from the bronze medal is 38-year-old World No 24 James Willstrop. The Englishman, the gold medal winner form Gold Coast 2018 will be competing in front of his home fans. He’s a former World No 1, and has an 8-1 record against Ghosal. He’s the favourite for this match, but cannot discount Ghosal - he’ll be ready to put everything he has for that medal.

Squash: The end of an epic match! England’s Sarah-Jane Perry defeats New Zealand’s Joelle King in a marathon women’s singles bronze medal match.

An update from India's matches from lawn bowls

Weightlifting, women’s 87+ kg final: Purnima’s Commonwealth Games comes to an end with the UP lifter registering just two successful lifts and finishing with a total of 228kg. Tried to lift 133kg but failed with both her remaining attempts. Looks likely to finish sixth as she did in Gold Coast four years ago.

Weightlifting, women’s 87+ kg final: As things stand, Purnima looks likely to finish outside the podium. She’s currently third six kg behind the current leader. With Emily Campbell and Feagaiga Stowers still to begin their lift, Purnima has to lift at least 135kg to have a chance of claiming bronze

Weightlifting, women’s 87+ kg final: Purnima comes out for her first clean and jerk lift of 125kg. She needs to make up some kilos in clean and jerk to have a chance of winning bronze. And she nails the lift!

Viren Rasquinha: Navneet Kaur has been India’s most consistent player this tournament with her aggression and passing.

Read more about her here:

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 8-0 Canada: It is going to come down to GD between India and England, so Manpreet & Co needed this cushion. India play Wales next on Thursday that will be *followed* by Canada vs England. The home team will know what sort of margin they needed against this Canadian team who are evidently there for the taking.

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 8-0 Canada, FULL TIME: That was convincing. And importantly so. The 4-4 draw against England must have stung. And they have come up with a solid, efficient, clean performance.

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 8-0 Canada, Q4: Play to the whistle, is one of the oldest cliches there is in the sport perhaps. Canada don’t there. Akashdeep gets his 2nd in the match, probably the simplest goal he’ll ever score. Canada switched off thinking the ball was out, in came the pass with an empty goal to tap into.

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 7-0 Canada, Q4: GOAL INDIA! Mandeep wins the ball near the halfline, charges forward and finishes it with a reverse hit. What a fine finish. He is really good with his reverse hits. Second of the tournament if I am not wrong.

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 6-0 Canada, Q4: GOAL INDIA! Penalty corner, and it’s that man again, Harmanpreet Singh who scores. Goes for the top corner to the left of the GK time, no chance of stopping that.

Weightlifting, women’s 87+ kg final: Purnima is unable to lift 108kg with her final lift and finishes with a best snatch lift of 103kg. Puts her under pressure for clean and jerk

A must-win match coming up for Harmanpreet Kaur & Co later in the night and on that note an interesting update from ESPNCricinfo’s Nagraj Gollapudi.

Dilip with weightlifting update: Purnima comes out for her first snatch lift which she reduced from 105kg to 103kg. Oh and she’s unable to lift it. Not the start she wanted. But much better technique 2nd time around and lifts 103kg. She would’ve loved to get it right the first time.

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 5-0 Canada, Q4: Ethan McTAVISH with some help from his defence keep India out after some serious pressure from open play and then a PC variation.

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 5-0 Canada, end of Q3: India looking comfortable here as we begin the final quarter.

Shahid Judge reminds me of Nilakanta’s part in that goal too: “Cool as you like, Akashdeep makes it 5. Quick passes between the Indians, Nilkanta gets the ball in the circle and plays a no-look pass behind, and Akashdeep does the rest.”

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 5-0 Canada, Q3: GOAL INDIA! Fine, fine run by Manpreet Singh and he sets up Akashdeep for a rasping hit on goal. Akashdeep, like Mandeep, can be frustrating at times but given space, both of them can be deadly.

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 4-0 Canada, Q3: Former India captain Viren Rasquinha praising the current captain of India Manpreet Singh as the Steven Gerrard of Indian midfield for the engine on air. Any guesses which club he supports?

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 4-0 Canada, start of Q3: Can Canada make a contest out of this?

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 4-0 Canada, end of Q2: An excellent half of hockey for India. Hardly an attempt on their goal, but slotted four past Canada in the first half. When called upon from a PC, Krishan Pathak was on hand to push it out.

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 4-0 Canada, Q2: GOAL INDIA! Harendra Singh, in a tweet sharing my colleague’s article on Hardik Singh, praised the midfielder’s peripheral vision. He shows that here to set up Gurjant in the middle with a delightful pass. The No 9 scores a sliding finish.

Weightlifting, women’s 87+ kg final: Purnima Pandey’s action about to start.

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 3-0 Canada, Q2: GOAL INDIA! Another set of PCs, second time around Harman does the back-pass to Varun and while the shot on goal is saved, Lalit is on hand to put the rebound in. Top stuff.

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 2-0 Canada, end of Q1: If there were any nerves post the England performance, those should be eased by now. Solid start for Manpreet and Co. Mandeep having a fine half. Harman doing Harman things.

Meanwhile, looks the weightlifting event is delayed. There were kids singing at the NEC Hall. Not sure what that is about.

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 2-0 Canada, in Q1: Amit Rohidas doubles India’s lead. Controls an excellent long grounded pass from Varun Kumar (what timing eh?, races into the circle and hammers home.

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 1-0 Canada, in Q1: Also observed by Viren Rasquinha on air, how Reid trusted Varun Kumar to start him again today. He honestly had a nightmare against England. Two yellow cards, conceded a PC... but he is a class player. And he is on the pitch as he should be. India controlling the game nicely here.

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 1-0 Canada, in Q1: GOAL INDIA! Nice work again by Mandeep to win a PC. And Harmanpreet nails this one! This man is in some form.

Weightlifting, women’s 87+ kg final: Purnima Pandey will shortly be in action in the women’s 87+kg final. The gold will likely be contested between Tokyo Olympics silver medallist Emily Campbell and the 2018 90+kg champion Feagaiga Stowers.

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 0-0 Canada, in Q1: No surprises that India have started the stronger side. An early PC, Harman’s drag flick results in another. And it is just about saved.

Earlier, Viren Rasquinha on comms with a nice trivia about one of the Canadian players being his schoolmate while growing up.

Hockey, men’s Pool B India 0-0 Canada, in Q1: No more room for slip-ups for India here if they want to top the group. Here we go, pushback.

Hockey, men’s Pool B India vs Canada: Another India-Canada match coming up. The men’s team will need to respond after their disappointing, yet gritty and crucial, 4-4 draw vs England.

Para table tennis: Here’s a look at some results so far today. Wins for Paralympians Sonal Patel and Bhavina Patel to start off.

Lawn bowls, men’s singles sectional play: An absolute thriller of a win for Mridul Borgohain in this one, thoroughly gripping stuff for 27 ends. The Indian stays alive in his group.

The official website seems to be down. We are just waiting to update para table tennis and lawn bowls results so far. For now, there is this thriller unfolding.

Boxing (Men’s 57kg) Mohammed Hussamuddin vs Tryagain Morning Ndevelo QF: Medal assured! Hussamuddin comes through a tough bout and prevails 4-1 in the end. Tryagain Morning Ndevelo certainly tried hard.

Boxing (Men’s 57kg) Mohammed Hussamuddin vs Tryagain Morning Ndevelo QF: What a close one this. Tryagain came storming out of the blocks! But Hussam recovered a bit. Three judges have it level though.

Boxing (Men’s 57kg) Mohammed Hussamuddin vs Tryagain Morning Ndevelo QF: It’s a 3-2 for Hussam in this bout R1. Ndevelo is very much in it.

Boxing (Men’s 57kg) Mohammed Hussamuddin vs Tryagain Morning Ndevelo QF: Quite the amazing name. But what is in store in the ring?

This Indian women’s hockey team certainly knows how to put Indian hockey fans through an emotional wringer. Here’s a thread on stories we had done recently before the World Cup.

Hockey women’s Pool A: India finish 2nd in the Pool A and will face Australia up next in the semifinals. The rematch of that famous quarterfinal in Tokyo. You’d imagine the Hockeyroos would want revenge, Savita Punia & Co will need another huge performance.

Hockey women’s Pool A, India 3-2 Canada, in Q4: THE INDIANS ARE THROUGH TO THE SEMIFINAL! They needed to win this match, and just about make it. Relief more than joy at full-time. But heartbreak for Canada.

Hockey women’s Pool A, India 3-2 Canada, in Q4: GOALIE OFF FOR CANADA. India ball with less than 50 secs.

Samreen: Clyde is in tears after R2. This is too much for her and Nitu far too good for her. The Irish camp abandons the match and Nitu wins. She’s into the semis and how.

Hockey women’s Pool A, India 3-2 Canada, in Q4: Excellent skill from Sangita, at speed. Good move from India but Sharmila’s shot on goal is saved, she could have done better but a PC with under 3 mins to go

Boxing, Women’s 48kg, Nitu Ghanghas vs Nicole Clyde QF: UFF! Bout abandoned in third round. MEDAL ASSURED FOR NITU. What a performance.

Hockey women’s Pool A, India 3-2 Canada, in Q4: GOAL INDIA!!! WHAT A HUGE ONE THAT IS. It’s a scramble from the PC and Siami gets the touch finally. Canada want to review, they can’t. They have a case too, the ball might not have gone out of the circle from the injection.

Boxing, Women’s 48kg, Nitu Ghanghas vs Nicole Clyde QF: Nitu is absolutely bossing this here!

Hockey women’s Pool A, India 2-2 Canada, in Q4: Lengthy review, India ask for a PC. No PC, review lost for both sides. Nine mins left and India do have another PC.

Hockey women’s Pool A, India 2-2 Canada, in Q4: OH NO. Neha Goyal scored, but the umpire’s referral finds that the ball hit the back of Salima Tete’s stick in the buildup. No goal. 10 mins to go

Women +78 kg - Semi-Final Tulika MAAN vs Sydnee ANDREWS: MEDAL ASSURED! India’s Tulika Mann reaches the Women +78 kg final with a win by Ippon against Sydnee ANDREWS of New Zealand. She trailed by a Waza Ari but got a throw. India’s third medal of the Games at Judo, she will try to go for gold later on.

Women +78 kg - Semi-Final Tulika MAAN vs Sydnee ANDREWS: No expert here, so going to rely on the commentary. Tulika 2nd seed but there is not much on the world rankings separating the two, both in the 80s.

Hockey women’s Pool A, India 2-2 Canada, End of Q3: End of India’s medal hopes? 15 mins left to salvage this.

Judo, Women +78 kg - SF, Tulika MAAN: Could Tulika seal a spot in the final? Semifinal about to come.

Hockey women’s Pool A, India 2-1 Canada in Q3: A couple of PCs for India to defend and they hang on. But wait, there is a Canada review.

Hockey women’s Pool A, India 2-2 Canada in Q3: GOAL CANADA! A superb variation from Canada and they have come back from 2-0 to 2-2. PC routines on defence undoing India’s good start. To be honest, since 2-0 it has felt like Canada has bosses the match. India on the brink.
