India 89/2 after 6.3 overs: Suryakumar finishes the game in style by hitting his second delivery straight over for six. That was a solid, solid all-round performance from India.

India 82/2 after 6 overs: OUT! Rahul is gone! He tries to finish things off in style but finds the fielder at long-on. Smart bowling from Watt, he tossed that ball up nice and slow.

India 81/1 after 5.4 overs: FIFTY for KL Rahul! The right-hander is batting like a dream and gets to his half-century of just 18 balls. He hits left-arm spinner Mark Watt for another four and six. India need five runs to win.

The new batter is skipper Kohli.

India 70/1 after 5 overs: OUT! Wheal got hammered in the over but he ends it with a brilliant yorker to trap Rohit plumb in front. The right-hander departs for 30 off 16. Rahul is batting on 39 off 14, with five fours and two sixes.

India 53/0 after 4 overs: The fastest team fifty of the tournament! Sharif with a poor over and Rohit took full toll. The right-hander with a huge six over mid-wicket followed by boundaries either side of the pitch.

India 39/0 after 3 overs: Another huge over for India! This time Evans the bowler at the receiving end. Rahul hits a stylish drive over cover for four before playing a delightful pick-up shot for six. Rohit then picks up another boundary with a drive over mid-off.

India 23/0 after 2 overs: Three fours! Rahul decides to go after Wheal and gets the runs needed in the over. First a drive over mid-on, then a leading edge past mid-wicket, and finally a flick wide of short-fine. The right-arm pacer concedes 15 runs in his first over.

India 8/0 after 1 over: Four! Rohit backs away and drives one over the off side ring for India’s first boundary. Rohit and Rahul didn’t really go hell for leather in the first over, though.

9.14 pm: No change in the opening combination for India as Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul come to the crease. Mark Watt to bowl the first over for Scotland. Here we go!

NRR Update: India have to chase down this total in 7.1 overs to go past Afghanistan’s net run-rate.

8.54 pm: Bumrah becomes the leading wicket-taker for India in T20Is by cleaning up Watt. The left-hander went across to try and play a scoop but was beaten completely. A mighty impressive performance with the ball from India’s bowlers after winning the toss.

Scotland all-out for 85 in 17.4 overs

Scotland 81/9 after 16.3 overs: OUT! Shami is on fire! Another stunning yorker from him and another Scottish batter is clean bowled. This time Evans departs for a first-ball duck. A hat-trick of wickets for India in this over!

Scotland 81/8 after 16.2 overs: OUT! Sharif is run-out first ball! The right-hander gets struck on the pads and sets out for a single, but he is sent back and falls well short. Smart work from substitute Kishan who picked up the ball from mid-wicket and ran to the stumps to knock the bails over.

Scotland 81/7 after 16.1 overs: OUT! Shami picks his second wicket! It was a sizzling yorker and MacLeod was beaten all ends up. The right-hander walks back for 16 off 28.

Scotland 81/6 after 16 overs: Four! Ashwin bowls it wide and Watt throws his bat at it to get a thick outside edge. The left-hander then survives a stumping chance as Pant fails to gather the ball. Ashwin was smart is firing the ball wide seeing the batter step out, but he couldn’t get a second wicket. He finishes with figures of 1/29 from his four overs.

Scotland 70/6 after 15 overs: Jadeja drops one short, Watt cuts it hard and Shami misfields at the boundary to concede four. Kohli did not look pleased with that effort from Shami. But that was a minor blemish in an exceptional spell from Jadeja, he finishes with figures of 3/15 from his four overs.

Scotland 63/6 after 13.4 overs: OUT! Ashwin strikes! Greaves (1 off 7) survived an LBW shout earlier in the over as DRS showed the ball going over, but this time the right-hander steps out and mistimes it to find the fielder.

Scotland 61/5 after 13 overs: Bumrah returns to the attack and concedes just a single in his third over. He has figures of 1/8. He has put on an exhibition of yorkers and slower balls tonight.

Scotland 60/5 after 12 overs: Jadeja has sensational figures of 3/9 from three overs. The left-arm spinner has been outstanding so far and not given the batters an inch. The new batter is Greaves.

Scotland 58/5 after 11.2 overs: OUT! Jadeja gets his third wicket! And it’s the dangerous Leask walking back. The right-hander attempts a sweep, gets struck in front, the umpire raises his finger, and the review isn’t taken. Leask departs for 21 off 12.

Scotland 57/4 after 11 overs: Six and four! Leask, who has been in fine form recently, goes after Shami and gives his team a much-needed push. The right-hander goes for a pull and the top edge sails over fine-leg, before driving a full delivery down the ground for four.

Scotland 44/4 after 10 overs: Four! Varun tosses one up and Leask sweeps it for a welcome boundary for his team. At the halfway stage, India are well placed to restrict Scotland to a total inside 100.

Scotland 36/4 after 9 overs: Another rapid, tidy over from Jadeja. The left-arm spinner has settled into a nice rhythm and is targeting the stumps consistently.

Scotland 32/4 after 8 overs: Ashwin returns to the attack and bowls a good over, just three singles from it. Scotland have MacLeod and Leask at the crease now. They need a partnership, a big one at that.

Scotland 29/4 after 7 overs: OUT! Jadeja has two wickets in the over! He fires one in and it strikes Cross plumb in front. Scotland then go on to lose a review as it shows three reds. The right-hander departs for 2 off 9.

Scotland 28/3 after 6.3 overs: OUT! Berrington is gone for a five-ball duck! Jadeja strikes in his first over to rattle the right-hander’s stumps. That was a superb delivery from the left-arm spinner. It’s all India at the moment!

He nearly gets Berrington off the last delivery as the right-hander tries to keep out a yorker and the ball trickles past the leg stump. Apart from the three fours in the Ashwin over, this was a solid powerplay for India. It had two wicket-maidens.

Scotland 27/2 after 5.2 overs: OUT! Shami strikes with his second ball! And it’s the dangerous Munsey walking back for 24 off 19. It was pitched up and the left-hander hit it straight to Pandya at mid-on.

Scotland 27/1 after 5 overs: Good over from Varun, just two singles from it. The spinner seems to be bowling with more confidence tonight. Cross moves on to 1 off 6. India need to keep looking for wickets.

Scotland 25/1 after 4 overs: Three fours! Top batting from Munsey! The left-hander makes room and drives one past cover before playing two reverse sweeps for boundaries. Ashwin didn’t concede a single boundary in the last match but he has conceded three in his first over tonight.

Scotland 13/1 after 3 overs: A wicket-maiden from Bumrah! What a bowler he is! He gets a leading edge off Cross’s bat, on the back of another slower ball, but the ball falls just short of extra cover. Top effort by Suryakumar, diving forward trying to make the catch.

Scotland 13/1 after 2.3 overs: OUT! Bumrah strikes! He bowls a second consecutive slower delivery and rattles Coetzer’s stumps. Completed foxed the right-hander there. The Scotland skipper walks back for 1 off 7.

Scotland 13/0 after 2 overs: Shot! It’s that man Munsey again. The left-hander attempts a reverse sweep and picks up four past the slip fielder. Five runs come from Varun’s first over.
