Riddhi Sen is a puppet at the mercy of a giant hand in the first poster of Pradeep Sarkar’s Helicopter Eela.
That hand likely belongs to Kajol, who plays a single mother aspiring to be a singer in the film. Sen, who won the National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in Kaushik Ganguly’s Bengali film Nagarkirtan (2017), plays her son. Neha Dhupia has a supporting role.
According to reports, Helicopter Eela, written by Anand Gandhi (Ship of Theseus) and Mitesh Shah, is based on Gandhi’s Gujarati play Beta Kaagdo. Amit Trivedi has composed the music while Swanand Kirkire is on lyrical duties. Sirsha Roy (A Death in the Gunj) is the cinematographer.
The film, produced by Ajay Devgn FFilms, and Pen India Limited, will be released on September 22.
