The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) will start the process of application for the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) 2018 Preliminary exam from tomorrow, July 6th. According to several sources, the UPPSC PCS exam 2018 is scheduled to be held on August 19th. The last date to pay the UP PCS 2018 application fee is August 2nd, and the last date to submit online applications is August 6th.
This year there are 831 vacancies under general recruitment and 1 vacancy under special recruitment for differently-abled persons. The general vacancy number includes a record number of 119 Sub Divisional Magistrates and around 100 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs). Interested candidates can apply for the PCS 2018 exam via the official UPPSC website, uppsc.up.nic.in.
According to India Today, the Commission has introduced a new subject called ‘Medical’ for the Mains stage of the exams. Furthermore, this year there will be negative marks and the Commission will deduct one-third mark for each wrong answer in the Preliminary exam. The Commission has also claimed that it has made changes to the website to make the application and registration process simpler.
