All-rounder Krunal Pandya and Deepak Chahar have been called up to replace injured Washington Sundar and Jasprit Bumrah for India’s T20I series against England.
Bumrah will miss the three-match T20I series which begins on Tuesday with a thumb injury, while Sundar has been ruled out of both the shortest format and the ODI series. Axar Patel will replace him in the 50-over format.
Pandya had an impressive outing during the Indian Premier League and was picked in the India ‘A’ ODI team which is also touring the United Kingdom.
Chahar, who was also a bright spot in Chennai Super Kings’ triumphant return to the IPL campaign, has been in fine form in England with India ‘A’ outfit. He the side’s leading wicket-taker having picked up seven wickets in three games.
India will face England in the first T20I on July 3 in Manchester.
