Several hundred Iranian fans spent hours outside the hotel where the Portugal team is based in an attempt to disrupt their sleep ahead of their side’s crucial match with the European champions later on Monday, Associated Press reported.

Star striker Cristiano Ronaldo was filmed late at night by the window using gestures to ask the fans to be silent. However, even on Monday morning there were several fans playing loud music near the hotel in Saransk.
