As many as four people were killed and three injured in an explosion at a scrap shop in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar on Monday, ANI reported. The explosion occurred on Sarvat Road under Civil Line police station area.
Senior Superintendent of Police Anantadev Tiwari told Dainik Bhaskar that officials of the Anti-Terrorism Squad and an Army team from Meerut were inspecting the area. “We are investigating the cause of the explosion,” he said.
Circle Officer Harish Bhadoria told PTI the blast occurred when a few people were dismantling scrap items in the shop. A 50-year-old man, Tazim, and 55-year-old Shazad were among the four people who were killed in the blast. Three passersby were injured, said Bhadoria.
