A couple in Karnataka decided to put a new spin on driving away from their wedding, choosing a JCB earth-digger instead of a car .
The newlyweds from the town of Puttur picked the JCB digger as their ride because the groom, Chetan, himself operates one and wanted to showcase his means of earning a living.
The sari-clad bride, Mamta, sat in the vehicle as her husband drove her around town. They also took pictures while sitting in the bucket of the digger, which was decorated with flowers for the occasion. Several videos of their procession went viral online.
The Bangalore Mirror quoted Chetan as saying, “I love my job and it’s my way of showing gratitude towards the vehicle during one of my biggest moments in my life.”
