An Air India flight, with 176 passengers onboard, made an emergency landing at Mumbai airport on Wednesday evening after it suffered a hydraulic leak. All the passengers on the Muscat-bound flight are safe and will be flying to their destination in another aircraft, an airline spokesperson told PTI.
The flight took off from Ahmedabad at 7.30 pm, but developed a hydraulic failure. Fire engines and ambulances were kept on standby, reported The Times of India.
“Full emergency was declared at 20.15 hrs for AI 985 arriving from Ahmadabad due to hydraulic failure,” a Mumbai airport official said. The flight landed safely at 8.36 pm.
