Roger Federer once again overtook archrival Rafael Nadal in the ATP rankings after claiming his 98th title win at Stuttgart.
Simona Halep retained top spot in the WTA rankings buoyed by having ended her wait for a Grand Slam title at the French Open.
Federer, the 36-year-old Swiss, got to the top of the ATP rankings for the sixth time in his career.
Alexander Zverev and Juan Martin del Potro held on to the third and fourth spots, respectively while Grigor Dimitrov leapfrogged Marin Cilic to the fifth spot.
Meanwhile, in the WTA rankings, Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark stays in second spot ahead of Spaniard Garbine while Roland Garros finalist Sloane Stephens of the United States is up to fourth.
Australian Ashleigh Barty is up a place to 16th after winning on the grass at Nottingham on Sunday
