Four relationship stories run parallel to each other in Pratim D Gupta’s upcoming Bengali film Ahare Mon. Gupta has previously made three films, including the food-themed Maacher Jhol (2017).
In Ahare Mon, an elderly couple (played by Anjan Dutt and Mamata Shankar) leave home and head out on a road trip on a whim. A flashy thief (Ritwick Chakraborty) and his partner (Parno Mittra) move from one adventure to another. A lonely airport employee (Adil Hussain) strikes up a friendship with a frequent flyer (Paoli Dam). And a young woman (Chitrangada Chakraborty) fantasies about a relationship with a screen idol, whose character leaves space for a celebrity cameo. The film is scheduled to be released on June 22.
