Ten people died and 47 were injured when the bus they were travelling in hit a truck in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district on Monday morning. The accident took place around 5 am near Ruthiyai town when the Ahmedabad-bound private bus rammed into the stationary truck, Guna police station head Vivek Asthana told PTI.
Seven people, including the bus driver, died on the spot while three others succumbed to their injuries in the district hospital. All the injured have been admitted to the district hospital. Of them, three are said to be in a critical condition, reported The Times of India.
After initial investigations, the police said that the accident occurred as the bus driver could not see the truck, which had broken down. A case has been registered in connection with the accident, said the police. Action will be taken against the truck owner for wrong parking, reported The Times of India.
