A Russian businessman aboard a flight from Istanbul to New Delhi was arrested for public indecency and allegedly sexually harassing a woman sitting next to him on a flight from Istanbul to New Delhi, the Hindustan Times reported. He was released on bail later in the day. The accused is purportedly of Indian origin, PTI reported.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (IGI airport) Sanjay Bhatia said the woman dialled 100, the police helpline, immediately after the plane landed at New Delhi airport early on Sunday. A team of the Central Industrial Security Force arrested Krishna Ridzhal. “As soon as the flight touched down, a CISF quick response team and the area in-charge were deployed to the flight,” an unidentified Central Industrial Security Force official told the daily.
The woman alleged that Ridzhal masturbated in front her. She was moved to another seat after she complained to the aircraft crew. The police have recorded the statement of the airline staff and collected closed circuit television camera footage, The Indian Express reported.
